Useless and meaningless article from the guardian because nothing will happen anyway. Geostrategic and economic interests are (as usual) more important than anything and that's why this disgusting fascist paria state is still alive and will stay alive for another couple of decades at least and thus the occupation of Bakur as well. And not just Bakur because it seems that the US even considers the Turks to allow the safe zone and occupation of Rojava. Edited by Fire, Dec 17 14, 1:03.

I'll never live in harmony until these filthy godamned rats pay the price for everything they did and still do to our nation Heval. Since hundreds of years they are massacring our people and getting away with it. We need these guys like Dr. Baran back. True leaders who wouldn't even hesitate to kill Turks with their bare hands. |

It's unlikely Turkey will join the EU due to the fact member states such as Germany, Bulgaria, Romania and Greece will never allow it. |

This hippie ideology resulted in thousands of kurds being assimilated hundreds of kurds turning into islamists. while kurds belive in the turk-kurd brotherhood bullshit turks hate us with all their heart it doesn't matter if turks have ideological differences among themselves when it comes to kurd hate they all unite into ONE strong fist. Look, I'm coming from NK, Zinar and I probably know these rats(Turks) more than anyone here and maybe as a Bashuri Kurd you can't value it as good as we do, but I guarantee you. The turkish hate against Kurds is unique in this World and they want nothing more than the destruction of Kurds and Kurdistan. They don't make a secret out of it. Starting with the turkish government/police/soldiers right through to the last average Turk. What Kurds in all four parts have to realize is that these subspecies people are a danger for whole Kurdistan , not just Bakur. Their final goal is to occupy all four parts of Kurdistan. And that's why they created their bearded army(Isis) and let them attack Rojava and SK. Just imagine for a moment, Isis would have captured/occupied more SK territory, let's say Hewler. What do you think, would have happened? Well, you know it. Turks would have called for a "safe zone", like they are doing it with Rojava all the time. And not to mention the fact that all the Fetullah Gulen schools and other turkish institutes in SK are a symbol of occupation. And speaking about the average Turks. Did you know, that far majority of Turks applauded and enjoyed Isis(Turkish bearded army) raping and killing Kurds? Go and read comments how much they wanted Isis to commit a genocide in Kobane. Just go to youtube and watch Isis-videos and you see that most comments and likes are coming from Turks. Do you know the journalist Zana Azadi? One of very few PKK-close Kurdish journalists I respect. He said, the biggest obstacle for a free Kurdistan are the Turks. I have nothing to add. Edited by Fire, Dec 18 14, 12:35.

I dont think kurdishgirl is talking about brotherhood. You can make progressive on the kurdish cause without using hate. Just look at SK, they have comed from anfal to almost independency without using hate as thire tool

Jet fuel can't melt steel beams "If Turkey allows itself interfere in the matter of Kerkûk because of a few thousand Turkmen, we will do the same with regard to Diyarbakir (Amed) and other Kurdistani cities in Turkey because of 30 million Kurds." - President Masoud Barzanî

I have something to add. You must all know about Kemal Pir. He was a Turk wasn't he? Yet he is one of the founding members of PKK and fought for an independent Kurdistan. I understand that the majority of the Turkish people are fascists, ultra nationalists, Islamists etc all of whom hate Kurds. But that doesn't mean the entire Turkish nation is too. We have Turks in our ranks, we must show some respect to them. We have Turks fighting against ISIS in Rojava. We must show some respect to them. Arab Baathists beat up my father, but at the end of the day I do not say Arabs=Baathists. Even though I hate the majority of Arabs, I am not racist. It is purely because of their political alignment and fascist views, not because of their race. |

Pending membership to the EU Turkey has banned the death penalty and because of that Ocalan lives also since they have been a member of NATO they are stopped from openly helping ISIS. After the airdrop of KRG weapons to Kobane Turkey relented and allowed a convoy of weapons to travel through Turkey to Kobane. Now Turkey is actively training Kurds at the behest of NATO. I think you are mistaken if you think NATO has no influence with Turkey. I also think if there was no influence of NATO or the EU Turkey's behavior would degenerate until it became the Kurds worst nightmare. It makes me wonder how anyone could think the unarmed Kurd populace of Turkey could actually do anything more than die by the hundreds of thousands against the 2nd largest military in NATO and believe they are being realistic. Kurdish Wisdom of War Proverbs: "Deal with your friends as if they will become your enemies tomorrow, and deal with your enemies as if they will become your friends tomorrow." "Those away from the battlefield boast about their swords." "Those who do not go to war roar like a lion." "Everything is pardoned the brave." "Whoever digs a pit for his enemy should dig it his own size." "A thousand friends are too few; one enemy is one too many."
