Japanese are making fun of ISIS

As you may know, two Japanese has been taken hostage by the Islamic State who in turn threatens to execute them if Japan doesn't pay a ransom.

Islamic State threatens to kill two Japanese hostages

https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-ts=1421914688&x-yt-cl=84503534&v=qFW1xBCNLh0

In an online video released Tuesday, the Islamic State group threatened to kill two Japanese citizens unless Tokyo pays a ransom of $200 million within 72 hours.

The hostage crisis developed as Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was on the final leg of a six-day tour to the Middle East to pledge $200 million in non-military aid to countries in the region. Abe vowed to save the men.

The release of the video was apparently intended to coincide with Abe’s trip to Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian territories. In the video, the man said he is demanding the money because Abe “has proudly donated $100 million to kill our women and children and destroy the home of Muslims” and another $100 million “in an attempt to stop the expansion of the Islamic State.”

Meanwhile, a government expert who analyzed the video told reporters Tuesday night that it might be a “composite” — because the shadows of the two hostages seen on the ground are apparently facing in opposite directions. But it wasn’t clear how the authenticity of the video could affect the course of events.

Yukawa, a private security contractor, is believed to have been traveling with rebel fighters from the Islamic Front and the Free Syrian Army when he was captured Aug. 14 by Islamic State during a firefight in Marea, roughly 30 km north of Aleppo. He was visiting there to train with militants, according to a post on his blog kept. Pictures on his Facebook page show him in Iraq and Syria in July. One video on his page shows him holding a Kalashnikov assault rifle with the caption: “Syria war in Aleppo 2014.”

Goto, a freelance journalist from Sendai, set up his own video news agency, Independent Press, in 1996. He reported extensively from Kobani, a besieged Kurdish town near Syria’s border with Turkey, uploading numerous interviews he conducted with residents there as recently as Oct. 3. The BBC said the last foreign journalist in the town was Swedish journalist Joakim Medin, who left Oct. 4.

The Japanese people found a way to support the hostages and make fun of the Islamists the best way they know, by doing MEMEs!

Quote:

Japan Responds to the Islamic State Group Hostage-Taking With Hysterical Photoshops

As Americans well know, haunting images of a country's citizens held at gunpoint thousands of miles from home fosters a climate of fear and a thirst for vengeance, but the Japanese are reacting to the kidnappings in a different fashion: They're making memes. Pictures are popping up on social media with digitally altered images of the IS captors and hostages placed in silly situations or switched with characters from anime and sci-fi objects like light sabers.

Tens of thousands of tweets are using a hashtag that translates to "ISIS Crappy Collage Grand Prix," according to Vocativ. Basically, it's a Photoshop battle for bored, newshungry Japanese people.

This seems wrong, right? Two lives are in grave danger at the hands of a blood-thirsty terrorist organization. Mocking them seems reckless, silly and extremely insensitive to some, but the Washington Post writes that by "mocking the extremists on the medium, they are taking back control."

It also addresses the theory floating around online that these hostage videos are digitally altered themselves. An analyst told Reuters that the video is "highly manipulated." The lighting behind the men converges in an "unusual and unnatural" way, suggesting that it was shot in front of a green screen.

Also, the Photoshopping is taking a page from IS supporters whose social media propaganda includes goofily edited images, like of the Capitol building flaming in an inferno. This time, it's the Japanese pop culture that's ideologically dominant and not IS.

That's Japan for you! Just watch their TV games on the internet, that will mess your mind xD

They don't have the same conception of the world and life as Westerners or Middle Easterns have. The world is not a monolithic cultural entity... and the Japanese are among the most culturally different from others. Remember where "kamikaze" comes from: Japan.

The article jjmuneer posted above is a proof of that: Japan, being a very communitarian country, blames openly the two Japanese hostages for what happened to them.

I understand that Japan has kept degenerate values, but they replaced their good values with foreign beliefs, such as those that came out of the Sexual revolution in the West. That's not Progress, the other way around would have been Progress. You'll never be able to convince me to promote sexual liberty or other negative major indoctrinations.

Also you tell me how culturally Japanese this looks:

Isis uses that to mind battle japan and bring them fear. There is actually no diffrence in losses between someone who died because of a fault surgency and someone beheaded by isis as they will be both dead. Isis has overkilled iraqi army with their mind games. They run out of their second largest city without even firing a bullet. But as you can see japan is doing this so isis will know who is winning the mind game.

True story, but does this mean we shouldn't help someone when we have the ability to do so? For me this attitude coming from the Japanese is immature and unacceptable. This is about lives, these people are held captive and mocked for it. The "artists" behind these pictures are straight out retarded, they would hate to be mocked if they were placed in this position themselves, so why are they mocking these victims?

Question: why should anyone be proud of their nationality, if their compatriots mock them when their lives are put at risk?

Ofc they want to save them, but paying 100 million dollars for 2 hostages is absurd. Maybe they can do a resque action with their ninja's, and assasins

We can talk about the 200 million dollars when they stop mocking innocent victims. Still I would be willing to give that amount of money, their lives may not mean a lot to you, for them and their families they're everything, surely you wouldn't say such if you were a hostage.

Indeed, it appears one of them was executed. The Japanese government is outraged and may support even further the coalition. On the other hand, the Japanese are against the war and it may incline them even further down the path of pacifism (to the dislike of Abe government).

RawandKurdistani, it seems you know very little of Japan. I should remind you they did "kamikaze" attacks on the US navy during WW2: nobody understood why they were doing that. They have different cultural values and life has a different meaning for them. For them, the two Japanese hostages are endangering Japan, they shouldn't have go to Syria/Iraq, it's their fault. Nationalism is highly strong in Japan. Secondly, it's not because people think differently from you that they are strange or inferior. The Japanese people may think the same of you and your culture or religion. Thirdly, Japan didn't wait for the West to have what you call "degenerate" sexual values... Japanese sexual values take roots long before they open to the world during the late 19th century. And most of the Japanese sexual values are forbid in Europe. At last, to understand a bit more of the Japanese, you should know their country was shut off from the world for centuries by Imperial decree. And it is the only non-European/Western country who experienced industrial revolution and wasn't colonized.

Theology is not philosophy. That's why we have the rule of law in the civilised world and not Sharia law. What you are free to do under the rule of law is have any belief you want no matter how radical with the proviso that you don't try to impose it through force on anyone.

Your religious beliefs are yours and whatever church/mosque you frequent but what other people think/believe is their right too. That's why in the west we have a saying: "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.”

Because I've tried, some people can't listen to reason.

I am confused by God's wisdom:
In this world of States
Why have the Kurds remained Stateless, dispossessed,
What for have they all become fugitives, condemned?

And free the captive
If he be unjustly confined
Assist any person oppressed

If I hinder freedom by refusing to accept disgusting shizz like for example men that think they're women and vice versa, then I can proudly agree.

I guess in their view, these two men took the risk when they went into that region, so they don't deserve sympathy, and they make Japan look bad. They're very serious about the "honor" stuff.

Okay, tell people to stop imposing their beliefs about sexual liberty on my homeland then, that'll be the first step.
Since when did the west impose sexual liberty in kurdistan? All takes time to progress and have this kind of liberty. Unless you have a dictator, and islamists ruling your country.

It gets imposed on us and brainwashes our youth (especially those in the West) by Kurds that have already been brainwashed to promote bad western ideals. It's only gonna be a matter of time before western authorities start to complain about the lack of LGBT-rights in Kurdistan like they do regarding Russia, wait and see.
