Syria crisis: Russian air strikes against Assad enemies

Russia has begun carrying out air strikes in Syria against opponents of President Bashar al-Assad.
The strikes reportedly hit rebel-controlled areas of Homs and Hama provinces, causing casualties.
The US says it was informed an hour before they took place.
Russian defence officials say aircraft carried out about 20 missions targeting Islamic State, but US officials said that so far they did not appear to be targeting IS-held territory.

What will be even bigger is to watch Obama capitulate again in the face of our enemies and at the expense of our friends.

This sh*tbag that calls himself president is not through destroying what is left of the reputation of the US.

The whole world will watch in awe as Obama shows the world what a coward he is.

He will continue to appease until he is gone.

It will be up to the next president and hopefully he will have the moxie to stand up to our enemies and protect our friends.

Kurdish Wisdom of War Proverbs:

"Deal with your friends as if they will become your enemies tomorrow, and deal with your
enemies as if they will become your friends tomorrow."

"Those away from the battlefield boast about their swords."

"Those who do not go to war roar like a lion."

"Everything is pardoned the brave."

"Whoever digs a pit for his enemy should dig it his own size."

"A thousand friends are too few; one enemy is one too many."

Yup its a big risk for US and its true allies, looking Kurds could be one of them if the next president deosnt support a Kurdish confederation at least in KRG and autonomy for Rojava.

Russia ups Syria campaign, claims militants suffering ‘significant’ losses

Hewlêr, Kurdistan Region - Russian warplanes struck 67 targets in intensified air raids in Syria since Thursday, the defense ministry in Moscow said today, reporting 300 Islamist militants killed and claiming the militants were “sustaining significant losses.”

“Among the targets are the communication hubs, command posts, fuel stores and terrorist training bases located located in Raqqa, Latakia, Idlib, Aleppo and Hama,” Russian deputy chief of staff Lieutenant-General Igor Makushev said at a Moscow news conference.

Russia Today, Moscow’s official news outlet, reported him as saying drone footage had verified that a precision hit destroyed the headquarters of Liwa-al-Haqq, one of several Islamist groups fighting against the Bashar al-Assad regime, which Russia backs.

The defense ministry said that a radio intercept confirmed the deaths of 200 fighters and two commanders, who Makushev said belonged to the Islamic State group (ISIS).

Russia Today reported that another 100 Islamists were killed in an airstrike near Aleppo, saying Russian Sukhoi jets destroyed a base and armaments store housed in a former prison.

Russia stepped into the Syrian war – now in its fifth year -- less than a fortnight ago, after months of bombing raids by the US-led coalition have failed to dislodge ISIS and other Islamist groups fighting in Syria.

As Russia announced an intensified military campaign in Syria, the Pentagon said it was shifting its focus on arming rebel groups in Syria, after its $500 million “arm and equip” program of opposition forces in Syria was judged a dismal failure.

Russia, which has been carrying out air raids from a specially-built base outside Latakia in Syria, said that Islamist forces had been hit hard.

“In total the airstrikes destroyed six communication hubs, six armories, 17 training bases and 17 armored vehicles,” Makushev told reporters in Moscow.

“The militants are sustaining significant losses from the airstrikes, and are having to adjust their tactics, spreading out over a wider area, concealing themselves more thoroughly, or hiding in urban settlements,” he claimed.

“In these conditions, the Russian air forces are continuing and intensifying their airstrikes,” Makushev added.

ISIS has released a significant new execution video from the historic city of Palmyra, in the Syrian desert.
Child executioners are shown in the video being forced to brutally slaughter a group of more than 25 regime soldiers.
The video shows the soldiers lined up on their knees on the stage of the Roman amphitheatre, which had formerly been used for an annual festival in the city.
A baying crowd of men and boys gathered in the restored ruin waiting for the slaughter, many wearing military uniforms and headscarves.

“Islamic State” executes more than 200 of its own militants tried to defect, a defected leading figure said

Defected Syrian leading figure from “Islamic State” informed SOHR that IS executed more than 200 of its own militants from Chechnya and central Asian nationalities about 3 month ago. The leading figure, who is one of the second tier leaders in IS, confirmed that those militants were in the process of defection from IS in order to join Jabhat al- Nusra (al- Qaeda in Levant” before they were discovered by the security leaders of “Islamic State”, where they dragged them to al- Akayrashi area, which contains an IS camp, in the countryside of al- Raqqa city, then executed them and threw the bodies in al- Hota area in the countryside of al- Raqqa where there is a natural big hole turned by IS to a place for throwing its victims’ bodies in it.

The leading figure also informed SOHR that “the security officials” in “Islamic State” arrested about 21 militants of Caucasian nationalities in the eastern countryside of Aleppo in late August , where they were preparing themselves to escape from the clashes around the airbase on Kwayres besieged by IS. He said that IS machine-gunned after leaving the points they were guarding.

He added, the reasons of successive defection of Chechen, Caucasian and Turkestan fighters from “Islamic State” is their believe that fighting with “Islamic State” is wrong. Rather, we have to join Jabhat al- Nusra to fight the regime forces and Russia.

It is noted that the same leading figure informed SOHR this mornt that the Italian priest Paolo Dall’Oglio are still alive after he disappeared in July 29, 2013 when he was going to IS headquarter located in al- Raqqa governorate building in order to meet an Amir in IS. The leading figure, who has recently defected form IS, confirmed that Father Paolo detained in a prison supervised by what so called “the Uzbek Battalion” existed in the west of al- Tabaqa city west of al- Raqqa. The leading figure, who is one of the second tier leaders in IS, also confirmed that he saw Father Paolo personally during his mission to the prison and he said to SOHR “I saw Father Paolo in the Uzbek Battaion prison in al- Tabaqqa before defecting from IS in early September for religious and ideological reasons.”

Meanwhile, he talked to SOHR about recruiting a British fighter of Somalia origin by “Islamic State” in order to assassinate the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Rami Abdurrahman for “apostasy, publishing lies and misleading Muslims”. The defected leading figure confirmed that the fighter underwent professional courses in “close fighting and swift assassinations”, and that he left al- Raqqa to Britain, the residence place of the director of the Observatory, in this July.

On the other hand, he said that IS carried out several executions against citizens and fighters of the rebel and Islamist factions, including a fighter from an Islamist faction from al- Hamidiyya area in Hama executed for “fighting IS and apostasy” and a person from Tadef area in the countryside of Aleppo executed for “being agent and spying again IS.”

It is noted that, SOHR published in the last July 8 that ,the official website of Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was subject to a systematic hacking operation and wiping out its data by a party calling itself the “Cyber Army of the Caliphate”, where they have made a photo montage for the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Mr. Rami Abdurrahman wearing “the orange jumpsuit” used by Islamic State when they want to execute its victims and next to him one of IS executioners who is known by “John”. The hackers have written on SOHR website “In a spectacular and unique surprise attack, the Cyber Army of the Caliphate broke into the computer systems of SOHR, or what is known as “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights” organization, seized control of its websites, destroying it, and wiping out data. Due to the damage caused and great loss of data, the SOHR organization has decided to close its gates and instead advises its visitors to follow up on the latest news and events by following the Islamic State’s official media. The sentence of “Until further notice the SOHR organization will be known as “The Islamic Right to Hunt Kuffar,”had been added too. After the completion of hacking the official websites they paste links of what so called “Dabeq Magazine” issued by Islamic State.

Ramadi is completely surrounded now, its just a matter of time when the next major city of isis will fall.

Isis is losing hard in Iraq, and in Kurdistan Russia babying assad now as well, so isis will probably be defeated.

There will still be alqaida left allied with the fsa. America will help free syrian army(who are sharing land and are allied with al qaida), and Russia will help assad. ypg will probably just stay neutral, or be made to choose a side.
