Turkey will not intervene in Syria: deputy PM Turkey deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said his country is not mulling any military intervention in the southern neighbor. “We have already announced that we will not allow any fait accompli in Syria but we are of the opinion that any (military) intervention would make the situation in Syria more negative.” Arinc said, referring to Democratic Union Party (PYD) attempts to create a Kurdish autonomous region in the north of Syria. Turkey has repeatedly announced it would not tolerate a fait accompli in Syria, but Arinc remarks show Ankara was not planning to cross the border and conduct any military moves against the PYD. Arince further said PYD is trying to profit from the ongoing turmoil in the country. http://www.kurdpress.com/En |

US announces options to intervene in Syria ![]() The US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey, announced five options over Syria developments, New York Times said. None of the options include military intervention in the war-torn country. Announcing a no-fly Zone, small military operation in bordering regions, a buffer Zone in specific areas, educating and helping Syria opposition as well as monitoring any use of chemical weapon were the option the US general announced. The US official further said Pentagon will protect Syria neighbors against any threats. The international pressure on Syria president Bashar al-Assad’s government and backing moderate oppositions will be other US attempts in Syria, Dempsey went in to say. http://www.kurdpress.com/En/ |

What good is iracki army and its weapons for if they cant even protect one single jail? lolz Interpol alert on jailbreak 25/7/2013 09:58:00 . PARIS: Interpol issued an international alert yesterday over hundreds of fugitives who escaped two Iraqi prisons in attacks claimed by Al Qaeda, saying the jail breaks were a “major threat” to global security. More than 500 inmates fled on Monday following the simultaneous raids. “Many of the escaped prisoners were senior-level Al Qaeda members, some of whom had been sentenced to death,” Interpol said in its statement. The police organisation said it had alerted countries in the region at the request of Iraq, whose authorities were gathering photographs and fingerprints of the fugitives so an alert could be issued worldwide to help track them down. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant said it had deployed suicide attackers, rockets, and 12 car bombs, killing 120 Iraqi guards and SWAT forces in the attacks in Taji. Source: REUTERS |

I dont know if you saw that before - the video in which a soldier from Assad government army step up toward FSA, putting aside his gun and ask to talk. He said they all are syrianis and they shouldnt kill each other. He looked quite nice on the face comparing to FSA jihadists. They talked for a bit, but the video is finished sudenly - they said this soldiers was killed. I saw that in one of East Europe tv channels - i dont know if there is on you tube, probably yes, maybe you can find it. Actually i dont know what to think, but i think i prefer government army. Maybe i am wrong - it doesnt mean i support them - just i chose who is less bad. |

Iraq fails to reach information on escaped prisoners from Abu Ghraib Tuesday, 30 July 2013 13:42 Shafaq News / Parliamentary security and defense committee revealed on Tuesday, that it has failed in its recent visit to Abu Ghraib prison to access information about the escaped prisoners. It is worth mentioning that Al-Qaeda used in 21 of current July , missiles and 12 car bomb toward Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons, killing a number of Iraqi guards and special forces and the flee of hundreds of prisoners. “The visit by members of the security and defense committee to Abu Ghraib prison “wasn’t successful “because the committee came 6 days after the escape incident,” The committees’ member, Muthehar al- Janabi told “Shafaq News”. “During these six days, administrative changes have occurred in the prison and former staff has been referred to investigations and the new elements in the prison do not have any information that could be used in the investigation”. Janabi criticized the method of his committee in handling the case because of the committee came late. The parliamentary security and defense Committee revealed, last Sunday, its intention to visit Abu Ghraib and Taji prisons to complete its report to be submitted to the parliament regarding the recent incidents which took place in the prisons. |

State of Law Coalition blames US for recent violence in Iraq The Iraqi ruling State of Law Coalition blamed the US government for the recent violence in Iraq. Speaking to Madae Press, the coalition’s member Vahid Heli said the violence in Iraq escalated after the US President Barack Obama agreed to arm the Syrian rebels who are fighting the Damascus government. Syria opposition is sending arms to Iraq incessantly and the armed groups apply the weapons against the government and people, he added. He went on o say that his country would no longer allow terroristic groups to conduct attacks in Iraq and the efforts to oppose them will continue. He went on to say that during their presence in Iraq, the US forces arrested more than 60000 persons, mostly members of extremist groups, but released them after leaving the country. He added the US government put no pressure on its regional allies, including Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, who back and shelter the terroristic groups. |

As long as we Kurds remain united, and the PUK and KDP continue to coordinate, then we are fine. USA is about to strike with Tomahawk missiles any moment now. The neighbours of former republic of Syria are preparing now to counter a possible retaliation by Assad. Russia is going to do nothing. Like always Russia will take a step back and will betray Assad, like they did to all their former allies. After the assault on Assad’s military positions, Assad will be weakened even further and it’s very positive for Kurds. One of our most dangerous enemies, that has a chemical arsenal which this maniac can use against Kurds, is losing power. Edited by the SUN child, Aug 25 13, 10:13.
