Yeah that's been called before Iran is against this it won't happen Shia better off with one region made up of all shia provinces instead of each province becoming autonomous But in case of Kerkûk it's different it can seek autonomy then it will be much much easier to seek annexation with KRG since it will be a region rather than a province and will be very decentralized |
| Russian Girenak Joseph, who visited Kirkuk in Kurdistan as a part of his tour throu the 1870 - 1873 AD, who published the results of his trip & his studies later in 1879, in the 4th volume in the Bulletin of the Caucasus department of the Royal Geographical Russian Society estimated Kirkuk's population as many as 12-50,000 people, & he emphasized that except 40 Christian families, the rest of the population were Kurds. As for The Turkmen & Arabs, they have not been already existed at the time. | |

Alan thats why I told you Iran don't control Shias in Iraq, and Shia aren't politically united. Basra Shias support Hakim and the Hakimi family, they are against Muqatada. But they are the pro-Iranian ones, they supposedly get funding from Iran. Whilst Muqatada is opposed to them. Yes I hope Kirkuk is fully incoporated into KRG sooner rather than later. |

The rebels accuse the "Army of Islam" for their defeat in Qara they say that they've withdrawn their soldiers some went to Arsal in Lebanon and some to Deiratiyah and took the anti tanks and all the guns and left al-Nusra and ISIS to fight by themselves against the Syrian army |

It's sad that they are doing this. Alan I'm certain it's certain mosques within those regions. The KRG need to spy on clerics within those areas to get the source; they could pose as potentional Jihadists to see which cleric is promoting this. |

Free Syrian Army commander missing in Turkey: report The top commander of the so-called Free Syrian Army Riad al-Asaad went missing in Turkey almost 10 days ago, according to Iranian media reports. The report, which surfaced on Iran’s Al-Alam, said the news was announced by the commander’s family. Asaad was reportedly about to have a meeting with another rebel commander Salim İdris and a Lebanese deputy, Oqab Saqr, before he disappeared. Iranian websites claimed the Turkish government or competitive rebel groups may have been responsible for Asaad’s disappearance. Asaad left the regime’s army in 2011 and joined the rebel ranks. Previous reports claimed Asaad received treatment in Turkey last March and even had a leg amputated during his time in the hospital. Khaled Khoja, the SNC’s Turkey representative, told the Hürriyet Daily News that he learned from several social media websites that the commander has been missing for about 10 days. Khoja confirmed that the commander lost a leg when he survived an assassination attempt about five months ago in Deir ez-Zor. Khoja said the commander was attempting to form his own brigade against the Assad forces and parted ways with the main commanding order of the FSA.
