That's where you failed, because shias don't believe in an islamic state until a caliph is appointed by God. That being the Mehdi.

And how do you know what goes on in Iraq?
We saw how many iraqis vouluntered when their Shia clerics told them to fight, if they werent religious extremists why didnt they fight when Maliki told them to fight? Iraq= Shia Islamic state of mesopotamia.

You make no sense and your sentences seem jumbled up. Yes shia militias volunteered some being secterian, others not. However Maliki didn't even want help from any militias, he wasn't in it for shias but himself. Anyone who has actually been to the region would tell you that.

However my point was why the heck are you encouraging IS to take a city where like 100,000 Kurds would be massacred. What you want another shingal?

Iraqi Pilots Mistakenly Drop Food, Ammo to Militants

Posted Image

BAGHDAD, Iraq – The Iraqi Air Force mistakenly dropped food, water and ammunition to militants from the Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS), thinking they were their own soldiers, US television NBC reported Tuesday.

The channel quoted Hakim al–Zamili, an Iraqi MP from the fervently Shiite Sadrist bloc, saying that an investigation is underway.

NBC said the supplies were supposed to help besieged Iraqi army officers and soldiers who had been fighting Islamist extremists for one week in Shaqlawah and the village of Al-Sijar in the country’s western Anbar province.

“Some pilots, instead of dropping these supplies over the area of the Iraqi army, threw it over the area that is controlled by ISIS fighters,” said al-Zamili, who is also a member of the parliament’s Security and Defence committee.

“Those soldiers were in deadly need of these supplies, but because of the wrong plans of the commanders in the Iraqi army and lack of experience of the pilots, we in a way or another helped ISIS fighters kill our soldiers,” al-Zamili said.

The channel also quoted a brigadier-general in Iraq’s Defense Ministry, who did not want to be identified, confirming the incident and saying it took place last week.

“Yes, that's what had happened,” the officer said, adding that some air force pilots “do not have enough experience… they are all young and new.”

Baghdad is trying to rebuild its military after it collapsed before an IS onslaught that has captured a third of the country since June.

In desperate need of soldiers, the government has granted an amnesty for army deserters who return.

US jets have been targeting IS positions in Iraq since last month, and a coalition of some 50 nations has gathered to defeat IS forces fighting there and in neighboring Syria.

ISIS will be delivered with anti air systems. Which idiot allowed the delivery of the Pantzir as if the russians want that these weapons will be captured by ISIS maybe they want to test if the Pantzir can shoot down F-15 and F-22 fighter jets. I hope the US Military will secure the Pantzir. They pose a real threat in the hands of the iraqi army. They will loose these weapons and again there will a big outcry. Arent there kurdish troops in Baghdad ? They should be ordered to secure these weapons.

Joe Biden: Turkey, Saudi Arabia and UAE supported al-Qaeda

Friday, 03 October 2014 11:52

WASHINGTON - Vice President of USA Joe Biden stated that Turkey, Saudi Arabia and UAE provided hundreds of millions of dolar and tens of thousands of gun to Jabhat al-Nusra and Al-Qaeda in Syria.
Biden made a speech yesterday in Harvard University and stressed that "Our problem is that our alliances in the region Turkey, Saudi Arabia and UAE supported 'terrorist' organizations there. Their aim was the collapse of Assad's regime. That is why the war between Sunni and Shia broke out in Syria."

"The guns were delivered to al-Nusra and al-Qaeda in Syria. The outcome of such a policy now is more visible." added Biden.
