By Omar Sindi — Special to Ekurd.net November 23, 2012 The Republican Guards were the back bones of the Ba`athist regime, for continuity and perpetuating a dictatorial system from 1969 to 2003; especially during the reign of Saddam Hussein against internal oppositions of the regime, mainly Shi`a Arabs and the Kurdish people. The Republican Guards were the elite troops of the Iraqi army directly reporting to Saddam Hussein. Saddam Hussein said in history, when they write about Napoleon‘s Guard, they will adjust them next to the line the Republican Guard of Iraq, perhaps the dictator forgot to mention that the republican Guards are only used against Iraqi people, the Republican Guard performance during both first Gulf and second Gulf war’s were fiasco for the defender of the Iraqi borders; probability the carnivore dictator copied paste the behavior from Ottoman Empire‘s Janissary Corps. The newly created Dijla Forces is directly reporting to the imposter Nuri al- Maliki; there are many emblematic signs that the Dijla forces behaves like its predecessor, the Baathist Regime’s Republican Guard, many Officers, and spoke persons behaviors are similar. Baghdad‘s psychic dilemma, once a political party or a politician takes power they would have no tolerancesm or dissent of criticism. Mr. Maliki and his entourage people such MP Yassin Majeed with unprecedented manner, mockery view, thinking by forming the Dijla Forces, that will intimidate President Massoud Barzani, the Kurdish people and the peshmarga forces for the Kurdish right, people with such myopic views, their heads should be re-examined by psychotherapist Doctor of the diagnosis of mental illness, because neither the previous regimes, starting from Monarchy reign through Baathist regime with the notorious Republican Guards were unable to deter or discourage the right of the Kurdish people . The current Iraqi Prime Minster Nuri -al Maliki and Da’wah Party’s mystification, and deficit trust. What is the characteristic of a dictator? Usually a dictator holds many important positions in a government for himself and immediate trustee, for example, Dictator Saddam Hussein held in his government the positions of 1) President, 2) Chairman of revolutionary command council, and 3) Prime Minister and Saddam‘s son Qusay was in charge of the Republican Guard. Nuri al Maliki’s currently holds in his government the positions of: 1) Prime Minister, 2) Commander of armed forces, 3) Defense Minister, 4) Interior Minister, 5) Head of intelligence, and 6) National security Chairman, now in charge of Dijla force. The world, the political Pundit, the Da’wah party must demystify decide and cast the vote whether or not Mr. Maliki is a dictator. Baghdad should learn the lesson, that the force has not resolved any unresolved Iraqi issues,www.ekurd.net especially on-going conflict between both populations (Arabs and Kurds). Those politicians with myopic the views, and crude behaviors must not under-estimate the Kurdish liberation movement with its struggle for freedom and self- determination. If they learned a lesson from history then they should review Iraqi history from the monarchy reign to the despotic Saddam Hussein reign; none of the issues were resolved by force. The dictatorial system only brought upon the Iraqi people misery and disparity. This skulduggery and ruse schema have not produced tangible positive outcome for the region. Alas, misguided leadership causes ordinary people to pay the price through none of their own fault and suffering irreversible catastrophic consequences. If political parties and politicians continuing to tinker with and follow the same belligerent path that their predecessors in previous regimes embarked on, futile cycles then another grime and wasteful era is on the horizon.
