when there was not a Kurdish International Airport yet in KRG, we always went back to Kurdistan via Amed. We landed in Istanbul or Ankara and took a plane to Amed. Then it was a 5 or 6 hours drive to Ibrahim Xalil Border. Then the friggin fascists Turks made us wait 2 hours and then we went into South-Kurdistan. Our family always waited there and a 6 to 8 hours drive awaited us back to Slemani. We always went through Zaxo and Dohuk, but I've never had the chance to really visit those cities. Would like to do so one day, especially Dohuk looks really nice. |
