Monday, 11 February, 2013 | BGG BGG - Was I right about Maliki on his way out? Anytime you have to go next door and get troops from your local totalitarian regime (like Iran) you know you are in serious trouble (politically) on the home front. Washington already has moved – their support, that is. If Maliki has the full support of Washington DC – why would he go shopping for Iranian support against his own people? If all this is true – Maliki is only speeding his own demise. If it is not true – it’s likely Maliki just leaking such a report to “test” the US response and support to such actions. He always “floats” the idea in the press first – then makes his move. It’s typical Shia strategy…threaten DC and see if he can get something from them…either way – it will be dealt with. This is just part of the end game. Did I happen to mention my time frame the other day?? (30-45 days). Did you really think I would be wrong?? And the new pay-for-pumpers would be right? Let’s not lose sight of reality based on a desperate need. The fact is – Maliki is in very dire straights. or there wouldn’t even be a hint about letting Iran into his own country – who would do such a thing… it only speeds the course of events I have always believed. the fact is – deep down, everyone is thinking I’ll be wrong at the last mintue and there will be some kind of “hail Mary” by Maliki. You just saw his “hail Mary” – bring in Iran… but that will not work – for a lot of reasons. I don’t want to be right about this one. I want it over as bad as everyone else. It just won’t go down that way – IMHO. |
| Russian Girenak Joseph, who visited Kirkuk in Kurdistan as a part of his tour throu the 1870 - 1873 AD, who published the results of his trip & his studies later in 1879, in the 4th volume in the Bulletin of the Caucasus department of the Royal Geographical Russian Society estimated Kirkuk's population as many as 12-50,000 people, & he emphasized that except 40 Christian families, the rest of the population were Kurds. As for The Turkmen & Arabs, they have not been already existed at the time. | |
