Shafaq News / The leader of “Republican People’s party” – the Turkish opposition party (CHP) , Kamal Klegdar Oglu arrived on Tuesday, to the capital of Baghdad, at the invitation of Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry advised yesterday Oglu to postpone his visit to Baghdad due to "serious security risk."

“A delegation headed by the opposition party leader, Kemal Oglu including opposition leaders, businessmen and journalists have arrived in Baghdad on a four days visit, a source in the Iraqi Foreign Ministry told “Shafaq News”.

The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on the visit that “Nuri al-Maliki sees Oglu as his counterpart “.

This is the first visit made by a leader of the Turkish opposition to Iraq.

The Turkish media believed that the visit has a political and sectarian nature, noting that he will meet four Shia officials as described by "Dünya Bülteni" news site and will meet a "Sunni" leader who is the Speaker of the parliament, Osama al-Nujaifi.

Turkish press reports said that al-Maliki has sent three invitations to the Turkish opposition leader in the past, but he refused.

While Turkish newspapers revealed the rejection of the governor of Kirkuk , Najim al-Deen Kareem to receive the leader of the Turkish opposition in the province, confirming that the Iraqi government informed the visitors that it is trying to convince him to receive the Turkish politician since two days as well as his delegation accompanying.

Turkish main opposition leader arrives in Turkey after i-rack visit

Turkish Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu arrived on Friday in Turkey's capital Ankara, after having visited i-rack.

Having visited i-rack upon an invitation by i-racki Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, Kilicdaroglu first had a tete-a-tete meeting with the minister of state for provincial affairs Turhan Mufti.

Kilicdaroglu met on Wednesday with i-racki Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari in Baghdad.

On the third day of his visit, the main opposition leader met with i-rack's Deputy Prime Minister Hussein al-Shahristani in the Prime Ministry's Undersecretary building.

Kilicdaroglu and Hussein al-Shahristani made an announcement to press members and stated that they had talked about the development of bilateral relations. Shahristani said that they underlined that the agreements between the two countries should be made between the central governments and shared their opinions about the mutual usage of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. i-rack's reconstruction, as well as the Syrian crisis, were especially discussed by the leaders.

Kilicdaroglu had planned to also visit the cities of Najaf and Kerkûk within the scope of the 5-day visit, but could not since Baghdad officials warned him against visiting Kerkûk, news reports said. It was stated that it would be better to conduct the meetings with the Turkmen committee in Baghdad.

Prior to his departure for i-rack from Ankara's Esenboga Airport, Kilicdaroglu had stated "Our visit aims at paving the way for Turkey- i-rack relations especially in politics and economy, along with easing and helping the improvement of relations."

On the other hand, the foreign affairs representative of the regional administration in north of i-rack, Falah Mustafa, said on Thursday that Kilicdaroglu's i-rack visit would not affect relations between the i-racki Kurdistan region and Turkey.

Biji xelke Kerkuk! Welatparez u serbilind. That dog is not going to enter Kurdistan willingly. He might enter the occupied NK against the will of the people, but that facist should stay away from liberated parts as long as their ideology follow the lines of ataturkism. He is a Kurd himself which makes it even worse.

Yes he is a traitor from Dersim. Unfortunately we have many Traitors from Dersim. I also want to mention Hüseyin Aygün and especially the biggest traitor and PKK-Hater, Kamer Genc. Aygün and Genc are very dangerous. Because they want to fool the people by saying that they are not Kurds , but "Alevis" or "Dersimli". Their job is it to keep the Alevi Kurds away from PKK and Kurdish Patriosm. But they won't manage it because the Kurdish patriotism is growing in Dersim.
